OpenAI founder Sam Altman responds to the impact of DeepSeek:

“DeepSeek’s R1 is an impressive model, especially considering the performance they can offer in terms of price. We will obviously release even better models, and having a new competitor is definitely exciting! We will accelerate the release schedule a bit. But most importantly, we are excited to continue executing our research roadmap and believe that now more than ever, we need more computational resources to fulfill our mission.”

The world will need a lot of artificial intelligence and be amazed at the arrival of the next generation of models. Looking forward to bringing everyone artificial general intelligence (AGI) and more achievements beyond.
