A cholera outbreak in Angola has killed 12 people

On January 11, Jinshi Data News, the Angolan Ministry of Health announced an outbreak of cholera in the country. According to a bulletin issued by the Ministry of Health on the evening of the 10th, this round of cholera epidemic has caused 12 deaths since the first patient with symptoms was reported on December 31 last year. According to the bulletin, as of 18:00 on the same day, the country has reported 119 cases of cholera, of which 14 cases have been confirmed by laboratory testing. In the past 24 hours, Angola has reported 24 new cases of cholera. The epidemic is mainly concentrated in the city of Kakako in Luanda Province, the capital, with cases also reported in two adjacent provinces.
