Lawyer Abbe Lowell stated to the judge in Washington on Friday that Trump’s repeated public criticisms of the Fed’s work indicate his intention to replace those board members who refused to vote in favor of interest rate cuts. Cook’s side pointed out that Trump’s motives indicate that his dismissal of Cook lacks just cause.
