Golden Finance reported that the US government is negotiating with several political action committees (PACs) to return a maximum of $13.25 million in political donations made by former FTX executives. The request has been approved by Judge Lewis Kaplan, who is in charge of the FTX case, and the government will continue to discuss the confiscation of these funds with the PACs before January 15th. Data shows that the donations were provided by FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried or former engineering director Nishad Singh. Singh testified that some of the donations were made as requested by Bankman-Fried and he had signed a blank check.
