The French service industry has been declining for 3 consecutive months, and the business recovery that occurred during the Paris Olympics in the summer has been eroded by political concerns. Tariq Kamal Chaudhry, economist at Hamburg Commercial Bank, said, ‘This summer, the French service industry showed positive signals, partly due to the Olympics, but now it is in the past.’ The survey shows that France’s business confidence in November fell to its lowest level in over four years.
