In the field of Crypto Assets, the term 'revolution' is often misused. From public chains to Decentralized Finance, and now to the current AI craze, each time it is touted as 'disrupting the industry', yet often devolves into a tool for capital Arbitrage. The current AI track is no exception – on the surface, it appears to be a technological innovation, but in reality, it is a game driven by Liquidity and speculative psychology.
The success of ChatGPT has provided a new hype topic for the Crypto Assets market. Following this, there has been an explosion of AI chains, AI coins, and AI computing power projects. The white papers of these projects are filled with jargon such as 'large language models' and 'distributed computing power,' trying to position themselves as the 'OpenAI of the crypto world.' However, the reality is that most projects haven't even completed basic code, and the so-called 'AI technology' is nothing more than a patchwork of concepts, with some project teams being completely unaware of the fundamental principles of AI.
The reason early investors profit is not because the project itself has value, but because the market is filled with liquidity. New funds continue to pour in, allowing even projects with no substance to surge under the name of 'AI'. Some investors have gained huge returns through AI-related coins, and the market is flooded with statements like 'missing out on AI is equivalent to missing out on the next decade'. The entire industry has fallen into a blind worship of 'computing power', ignoring the actual feasibility of the projects and the true value of AI technology.
However, the market liquidity will eventually be exhausted. As funds gradually tighten, investors begin to think calmly. The era of relying solely on conceptual speculation while ignoring actual technical capabilities has passed. Currently, the crypto assets market is facing an important turning point, and investors need to assess the true value and long-term development potential of projects more rationally.
