In the Crypto Assets market, many people are exploring how to achieve significant profits with a small amount of capital. The answer lies in the 'snowball' strategy. This is not simply a full-position bet, but a carefully designed method of profit reinvestment.
When I first entered the market, I started with 800 USDT. The strategy I adopted was to invest only one-fifth of my total capital each time as a 'trail stone'. Once I made a profit, I would immediately transfer half of the profits to a cold wallet for safekeeping, which I call my 'profit moat'. The remaining portion continues to be reinvested in the market.
However, many investors often fall into three common traps: excessive confidence after continuous profits leading to full-margin operations resulting in losses; blindly increasing leverage after consecutive losses, ultimately leading to liquidation; and a lack of stable trading strategies, frequently changing them resulting in failure.
After several lessons, I have summarized three core principles:
1. Be decisive in cutting losses when a judgment error occurs, retaining enough principal to wait for the next opportunity.
2. It is essential to lock in half of the profits; being steady is always more important than pursuing quick gains.
3. Choose to observe when the market is unclear, do not force entry.
In the past month, I used this strategy to grow my 5000 USDT investment to 280,000 USDT during the rise of Ethereum. However, this was backed by three months of patient waiting and only half an hour of market observation each day.
To successfully implement this strategy, investors need to possess the following abilities: accurately grasp market fluctuations, clearly judge the direction of trends, and control greed to capture only the 'body' profits of the fish without risking chasing the 'tail'.
In fact, the ones who truly make money in the Crypto Assets market are not the 'diligent' ones who stare at the market all day, but the sober investors who can accurately grasp the timing and let their profits rise on their own. This 'snowball' strategy requires patience, discipline, and insight, but for those who can persevere, it can become an effective tool for significantly increasing small amounts of capital.
