Jin10 reported on October 28 that Trump plans to have dinner with several CEOs, including Salesforce (CRM.N) CEO Benioff, Toshiba CEO Taro Shimada, and Rakuten CEO Hiroshi Mikitani. This move aims to promote Japan's investment in the United States and to conclude Trump's visit to Tokyo. OpenAI co-founder Brockman, CRV president Toshihiro Mibe, and Anduril Industries founder Palmer Luckey are also among the invited guests. The dinner will be held at the residence of U.S. Ambassador to Japan George Glass. According to a trade framework reached earlier this year, Trump dropped and restricted tariffs on Japanese goods in exchange for Japan's commitment to provide $550 billion in funding for U.S. projects.
